Can't think of three rappers in the game that deserve this more than Rico Nasty, Megan Thee Stallion, and Tierra Whack. Their lyrics and flow define what it means to be leaders in the industry. Their individuality and actions from the past few years collectively demonstrates why they were the chosen females out of a mostly male dominated class. The response to these selections has been overwhelmingly positive amongst twitter conversations and the support is real deal. If you aren't quite familiar with their work let me just give you quick high level notes. Rico makes music that is up in your face, Tierra's lyrics are wiggly and smart, and Megan owns her shit. People classify them and put them in boxes (ex. Megan Thee Stallion is "sexually charged", "Rico is trying to be Punk Rap") but at the end of the day I know for a fact that they are making music that makes them happy. Its so damn beautiful.
