Lani Renaldo Releases NOHEARTBREAK2020

Los Angeles based artist Lani Renaldo does what she wants & what she loves. She makes music for the ladies and gents who are out there finding themselves.

Her music can best be described as a passionate ballad with leading guitar riffs and a nice pop essence. Sad chill garage pop might tie that description up nicely. Her career can easily sit adjacent to the likes of Alessia Cara, whom she performed with at the AMA’s as well as Halsey who had Lani open up for her at the Shrine in Los Angeles.

Like the masses, she looks to music as an outlet, however she is amongst the talented few who can contribute a positive and inclusive message. Her songs come from a place of honesty and emphasize the significance and importance of loving yourself no matter what. Women and sexuality are topics that she is comfortable injecting into her lyrics. Her most recent EP titled NOHEARTBREAK2020 includes four tracks that divulge her experiences living as a twenty something year old in 2020 (a year we will forever remember as literally the worst thing ever). Being an adult in this day and age has its uphill battles that prior generations have never seen before. Lani is here to remind you that there is nothing to be ashamed of - the best possible thing you can do is to live your truth.

“It’s for 20 somethings that are transitioning and going through a new phase in their life.” - Lani Renaldo

NOHEARTBREAK2020 is inspired by artists ranging from the likes of Fleetwood Mac and Hayley Williams, to Post Malone and SZA. Also pulling influence from producers including Timbaland, Pharrell and Greg Kurstin, Lani shows us an insight into her love of the 80’s, with the EP emanating big drums and distorted guitars along with a vocoder.
