Wept A Little During The Billie Eilish Documentary This Weekend

Not sure if I stand in solidarity with this but I can’t be the only one.

Over the weekend fans finally got access to the long-awaited documentary “The World’s A Little Blurry” featuring Billie Eilish as she navigates her career in leading up to, during, and after the release of her smashing debut album “WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?”

We see her move through her life alongside her family in their Los Angeles home while also working closely with her brother Finneas to create what would go on to be the best record of 2019. Her youth fuels the content of her music and her experience with love and new relationships runs parallel to her exploding career. Some of the incredible highlights we get access to include the inspiration of her music video for “when the party’s over” and how she wanted so badly to direct it herself (which she kind of did), her struggles with shin splints, her dance career, the backstage Orlando Bloom cheek kiss at Coachella, her relationship with “Q,” and her evolving friendship with Justin Bieber. Not to mention the casual sweep she had at the Grammys all coming to a close at what seems like the moment right before the pandemic hits.

It’s a deep and emotional perspective that we have not really seen from the young singer. What was more exciting was that it all got to happen at the best moment possible. She continues to defy the expectations placed upon her, even if she doesn’t know it.

Directed by R. J. Cutler
