Get ready for your thoughts to have a beautiful soundtrack - like a scene from a movie.
At 23-years old, Minneapolis producer Aibai is coming to you with ambient yet powerful beats that sit beautifully under a soft melodic voice. At first, she was focused on making electronic music but has definitely branched out to equate to alternative, indie, and dream-pop sounds. With a handful of tracks put out within the last year, she is back with another one titled “Glow.”
Inspired by the flowery likes of Flume, Odesza, Clairo, Goth Babe, and Rex Orange County, Aibai is finding a way to combine the endless possibilities of electronic music with some poppy indie rock to develop her own unique sound.
“I decided to combine the genres and make an indie electronic EP. This first single “Glow” is a perfect example of that. With the indie vocals of Des who goes by Swims (and is the bass player in Early Eyes) combined with my ambient music, I was able to produce the indietronica sound I was going for!”
“Glow” basically bodies that feeling you get when you walk outside and immerse yourself in nature. More specifically that feeling when you walk out of the cold darkness of the shade and into the sun. “Glow” as a track overall features warm, laid-back vocals which shimmer atop the oscillating synths, while the layered harmonies resonate deep throughout your body. This track is a perfect addition to your “chill” playlist and will get you hitting the repeat button in no time.
