Pride x Black Lives Matter March In Solidarity 🏳️‍🌈

On Sunday, June 14th Hollywood was the center of the 2020 Pride x Black Lives Matter march that started at Hollywood and Highland and ended in WEHO.

It was hot, peaceful, and close to the same vibe you would find at a typical Pride parade. However, the beautiful thing about the difference was that everyone was there in solidarity for Black Lives, Trans Lives, and Queer Lives. Highlighting this fact is important because there would not be any Pride parades without the legendary Marsha P. Johnson (a Black Transgender American Liberation Activist) who was the catalyst for the modern-day Pride we know and love today.


This morning the Supreme Court Of The United States ruled a new federal law known as Title VII that protects gay and transgender workers from discrimination in the workplace. This is monumental for the community who before had to deal with discrimination based on sexual orientation.

“An employer who fires an individual for being homosexual or transgender fires that person for traits or actions it would not have questioned in members of a different sex,” Justice Neil Gorsuch wrote for the court. “Sex plays a necessary and undisguisable role in the decision, exactly what Title VII forbids.”

Waking up to this seemingly rare piece of good news in the current climate was comparable to a cool breeze on a hot dry day. Change is happening friends. Catch a glimpse of the images below to see what exactly that change looks like.
